Welcome to The Boulder Field!
At the beginning of this journey, we set out to build a "club" in every sense of the word. An association of Sacramento-area people sharing a common interest in health, fitness, climbing, and the outdoors. As an indoor fitness facility, we seek to provide our members with an ideal environment for getting in shape, training for improvement, and finding your community. Many climbers find this to be a natural segue to climbing outdoors and taking advantage of the vast array of climbing spots the local area has to offer.
Climbing is a welcoming and diverse activity, which is firmly reflected in the people who choose to spend their time here! Our members come from all walks of life varying in age, experience, and background.
If your interests align with ours, we are going to have fun, build healthy bodies and minds, and become friends at Sacramento’s newest and fast-growing fitness gym, featuring:
Fitness area with gymnastic rings, kettle bells, weight lifting and cardio equipment
Yoga studio with daily classes for all levels, complimentary to members
10,000 square feet of world-class bouldering terrain up to 14 feet and state-of-the-art padded flooring, with a comprehensive climbing training area
Dedicated youth and family climbing area featuring an 8-foot top-out wall and a slide for an exciting descent - great for youth birthday parties!
Full-service locker rooms with showers and saunas
Cafe serving Temple Coffee espresso drinks, local beer, Zeal kombucha
Climbing retail shop with a curated selection of high-quality climbing shoes, apparel, packs, brushes, and guidebooks
Robust program offerings: Youth Camps, Youth Team, Youth Semester Program, Youth Field Trips, Adult Bouldering League, Bouldering Classes, Yoga Classes, Team Building, and more!
Youth Camps
These 4-day camps are led by our enthusiastic staff and filled with climbing instruction, games, and activities. We love climbing and focus on teaching its most important aspects:
Building strength and confidence
Solving problems together
Making friends and having fun!
When possible, participants will be grouped according to age and ability to foster a more supportive environment.
Youth Semester Program
The Boulder Field’s Youth Semester Program is a powerful tool for enhancing critical skills in kids: strength and balance, confidence, problem-solving skills, community, and continuous improvement! Bouldering pairs the individuality of climbing with the community-driven aspect of working together to solve challenges. Kids also get a free membership for the duration of the semester!
Recreational Youth Climbing Team
We are SO excited to have a team of dedicated climbers looking to take their abilities to the next level (and beyond!), be a part of the dynamic and highly supportive The Boulder Field community, and have fun! Our modern facility, world-class route setting, and enthusiastic coaching combine for an ideal environment for your child.
